I have been spoken to my broker this morning for what its worth and he stated that the general consensus amongst them is that they are recommending to get out of all things commodities, but for those wanting exposure to commodities to buy bhp. Perhaps that would explain the strength over the past week? On a further dour note they recieved a note stating they think 1/3 of the listed commodities companys on the asx will fold next year. Great in the long term for bhp, crap for our economy and lifestyle if true. Interesting times ahead that is for sure. Does anyone think we have seen the worse or can they see a stimulus to get the economy going? Obama won't be in till jan 20th and at minimun it takes 6 months to get major infrastructure projects underway. I think the next 6 months will be bleak at best.
