As perhaps an interesting aside, Dano recently drew my attention to a study on biochar steel making from SSAB Finland* ...with the encouraging footnote: "Please note on page 19, biomass raw material for Finland is around 250 euros, while it is free for us from California".
Plenty of wheels cranking at MGU at the moment.
