Cost was $14 million back then.... and only target was 1000 tpd,
Iron bridge is 60,000 times larger. so to make a lot of these plants is not going to be cheap!
So $14,000,000 x 60,000 = $840 billion capex
Iron bridge was only $6 billion, so yeah, Tucano is not a lower capex per tonne.
They claim its the lowest cabon footprint, because all the effort and cabon usage is allocated to the gold mining, which isnt apples to apples, either way I support using the tailings, but its not the cheapest. Maybe one day the machinery will move from mine to mine to process the tailings.
