What is the reasoning behind the use of boiled linseed oil, am pretty curious as it is the first I have heard of it.
Dr Johanna Budwig was a very strong proponent of the use of flax (linseed) oil. The Budwig cure is well worth a Google. When combined with cottage cheese she has attained some quite amazing results from cancer to heart disease to arthritis. She stressed the importance of raw flax oil that has been kept in the dark and kept refrigerated as the Essential Fatty Acids in the oil are very fragile and will oxidise easily. You will find flax oil in the fridge at any health food store these days.
One of natures strongest anti-inflammatories is curcumin, the concentrated extract from the common spice turmeric. A diet that is predominantly alkaline (more fruits and vegetables) will help reduce inflammation. The enzyme from pineapples called bromelain is also useful. Just upping your water intake can often produce impressive results and yes green lipped mussels have a long history of reducing inflammation.
