Commercial realities were made plain when Tata Steel explained how they had exploited their existing competences to move into a new market by adapting photovoltaics to cladding materials to provide a solar electricity function to the building structure. Other companies, such as G24i showed why they are making their presence felt on the world stage and were able to wave their product around thus encouraging new ideas.
