Do you people really want to adopt the American system? My GF is American and still owes about 80K for her degree, she cannot save a cent with all the required payments (private loans), we have no hope of buying a house. Lucky my degree only cost 25K (same degree) otherwise we would be working professionals going under, and yes we are both working in the field we studied in. Think about it people, its absolute madness!
Imagine if I had studied under the same system as well, that would be 180-200K debt as a couple......can somebody explain how we are supposed to get anywhere in life starting out with that debt?
The system works fine as it is. Our universities are respected around the word, I should know as I work for one of them, just because they are not "exclusive" does not mean they are inadequate.
