Sentiment is the killer ATM. I think many of the sellers are those who were burnt at >$2. Seeing it bouncing around $1.40 level for so long has proved to tempting for some to get out at $1.70's. Good news is that there is a fresh batch of shareholders in at the $1.70's who will be less tempted to sell when it gets its next re-rating.

I'm now a little concerned that there will be no news at all in the coming days, in which case we could easily see it drift back down to the $1.40's again. Let's hope next week brings good things.
