You guys realise that BHP actually closed up 90 cents to the Australian price in the US? The Australian range was actually 23.80 to 26.70 and closed at 25.47.
If you work on that basis.
Assume the following.
New York opening.
NY - 33 dollars USD
London - 8.10 GBP
NY High/London High (just before London shut)
NY - 36.90
London - 9.11 GBP
NY sold off to be at 35.07 in the close. IF London was still open it would be at 8.64 GBP (Calculate fall from 36.90 and apply percentage to UK high).
Looks like the selloff has slowed down though. Started in the last half an hour in Australia on Tuesday, and carried on for 2 whole days, and looks like they finished yesterday in Australia and carried on some more in UK for the early part.
