Its pretty simple really. WES undermined the LYC position with the Malaysian government in order to have new conditions applied that would cost LYC a considerable amount and destroy the SP. Then they can come in and pick up LYC at cents in the dollar. Its appears that both the Malaysian government and WES are complicit in this by their own statements. The ethics of this arrangement are outrageous and highlights no one in their right mind should set up a business in Malaysia.
If Lynas needs to move some facilities for phase one back to Australia I just wish they could move the entire facility back to Australia or somewhere like Thailand. Screw Malaysia, screw WES, screw the Japanese for not doing anything. I doubt it is financially viable at this time to do that unfortunately. This is like a death of a thousand cuts.
