Axial precession 25 800 years cycle. Over this cycle the Earth's north axial pole moves in a circle around the ecliptic pole, with an angular radius of about 23.5 degrees.
Whoever thinks that the distance to the Sun is not significant, and that the angle under which the Sun rays fall onto the surface of the Earth is not important - just check for the difference in the temperatures in the tropics and on the poles.
And precession is just one of the many cycles!

In other words, the distance from a fixed point on the surface of the Earth - to the Sun changes constantly! How can we expect then a uniform climate throughout the ages?

Whoever thinks that no matter how invalid is Al Gore's 'theory', what matter is that the carbon tax will clean the air - is up to a bad surprise. There are better ways, stuffing the economy won't help the air but will enrich few and give them control. Stuffing the economy will not help the development of new clean technologies, nor will stop the big polluters.
