Haha, my interpretation:

As vanity driven self purported environmentalists who cannot read, we are concerned about water because it gets us donations.

We don't have any concept of how much water falls from the sky, the processes of water mvement within aquifers and relatively miniscule volume of water removed for operations. Further, we don't want to know because it would undermine our vanity proposition.

Finally, we stand firmly against progress in the Beetaloo, and in fact everywhere. Nobody other than environmentalists should have access to dollars, it is important that we are empowered to obfuscate without limit.
