    I find your post quite funny - fuuny in the 'cents' that you haven't done the necessary calculations.

    Do you really think that the price of electricity is going down in the next ten years?

    I'll do it for you and be very conservative:

    Same price of electricity and use a base case of $1200 'worth' of electricity generated per year for 10 years - the time you say the system will last. I'll even ignore the taxes. (You know that $3.00 AFR that you buy has about a REAL pre-tax cost of 40% more for some in the 30% tax bracket here.........)

    So doing the figures after total cost recovery after 2.5 years give a pre-tax yield of 40% a year for 7.5 years.

    Now lets see electricity prices went up how much in the past four years? And how much are they expected to go up in the next three?

    If you can find another investment that provides those rates of return without doing anything and at zero risk (Unless the sun doesn't shine!!!) please let me know...............
