Well flats, if you seriously believe what you wrote then you obviously haven't been to China, or India.

I have, to both. And I was made acutely aware of the level of bone-crushing poverty that is suffered by a majority within these two nations.

The only way they can continue to "support" such populations is to export people all over the planet - which they have done and continue to do, with a vengeance.

The largest export of the subcontinent is people. Or their labor - mostly paid at SUBSISTENCE levels in order that we continue to exploit them.

Until an untimely death of the most preventable of maladies. Like tuberculosis.

In Riding the Iron Rooster Paul Theroux describes the eerie silence of the Chinese countryside, bereft of the usual sound of wildlife.

Absent because the poverty-stricken peasants will hunt down and eat anything that moves.

Rampant industrial pollution takes care of whatever escapes the pot.

Turning every available food resource into human beings must inevitably lead to....what?

    Soylent Green?
