    I don't believe that Australia should close down its coal-fired power stations and replace them with solar and wind power within a few years.

    Australia generates a mere 1% of global greenhouse gases, such action will have only a symbolic effect at a disproportionate cost to our economy.

    However, EVERYthing that the Greens advocate is not extreme or unreasonable.

    I don't vote for them neither do I like their support for Gillard and her silly carbon tax.

    BUT, in a rush to denounce SOME obviously extremist policies we overlook, at our peril, the sound sense that is displayed in others.
