Doesn't it seem to anyone that we are so absurdly over regulated? Having to ask a council for permission to cut trees down on your property? I know that is the norm but only because we have become used to it.
There are even council "guideline" as to what colour you can paint your house, I hear, in some areas.

There is always a "reason " for it, but anyone can pull reasons for anything out of their ear.
