A "weed" is a plant out of place, a tree planted can be an asset or a liability, a tree can be fuel to the fire liability, a fire retarding asset.....fuel to a hot fire, shade on a hot day..... a provider of heavenly or hellish days..... it's up to us, what gets planted where and when.... as for councils, bureaucrats, they do their job, sometimes locked into laws, processes, time consuming, resources to do lots of necessary jobs get wasted by greed and sloth and the corporate and financial leaders are a BIG part of that, we all are to some extent....

We need a good, overarching policy for Australia, but different specific micro-environments necessitate specific rulings....time for beliefs and agendas to take a baskseat... the pollies at the moment show it is possible...

IF we want to we can get the job done and DO IT RIGHT... even if large areas and small areas have to be cleared... IMO nett wise we still need LOTS more trees in the ground and SOON... BUT they need to be in the right place....
