qldfooty you are way off beam. There's been a lot of discussion about greens dominated local councils in the burnt out areas discouraging clearing of vegetation around houses. Experts (I mean real experts not the armchair types) have already stated these and other greens policies contributed to many of the deaths. Hopefully all will be revealed during the royal commission, and the government incorporates a better bush management policy and such like taking into account all interested parties, not just the greens.
