Hi the council rules are no clearance of trees further than 6 metres from your home or outbuildings. I was listening to a discussion on the radio yesterday with someone well versed in Radiant Heat and it can burn you up to 200 metres away in a fierce fire . I do hope that none of those in the council lost lives or property but I wish on them a lot of sleepless nights for years to come. I think that a good ruling in the bush should be that for every grown tree that you cut down 2 evergreen trees should have to be planted and the owner of the property be allowed to decide where and how along with getting sound advice from the local CFA Towie
