Most of us are subjectto what researchers call “Cognitive Inertia” or, the tendency to cling toexisting beliefs even as circumstances change. For Greenland’s government thiscould prove to be perilous, if they are not vigilant about material changes intheir local economy and markets.

On theother hand, if they see some type of weather inversion with the glaciersrapidly reclaiming all of the land, (albeit a potentially questionable eventgiven the continued global increase in temperature) the lost opportunity tohave saved for rainy days will be lost as they are forced to migrate to Canadaor Denmark. Hopefully their wise decisions will be good for the people and theland. This rare earth development is a golden goose. Kill the goose and theeggs will never see the light of day!!!!”
