Alexandria07, if you wish to compare - GML and Tanbreez, let's take a look at some technical aspects. This may help explain why Tanbreez is considered of less interest as an REE company than GML.
Tanbreez's REE's are contained within an ore body of ~ 20% Eudialyte (essentially a zirconosilicate mineral) with around 0.6% contained REE's (http://tanbreez.com/media/15393-tanbreez__rare_earth.pdf ). Onsite separation of the Eudialyte mineral by magnetic separation (Proposed by Tanbreez, but very few technical details available re the efficacy of this process) and after crushing and grinding will Tanbreez suggest concentrate the contained REE's to ~2.5% - wellbelow GML's on site concentrate of ~ 25%.
Separation of the REE's from Eudialyte in a refinery operation is not be trivial, and technical details of this process have not been forthcoming. It is known that acid leaching of eudialyte can lead to Silica Gel contamination of the leachate causing separation problems with the RE components.
IMO, GML have presented a far more complete mining and refining package to the GoG, whereas Tanbreez have not. I suspect this is why Tanbreez's proposed development of their ore body has not received great favour by GoG and may not in the future. GML’s process optimisations have led to significant reductions in operating costs, and CAPEX. IMO, this positions Kvanefjeld as probably the lowest-cost undevelopedrare earth project on the planet.
