Yes, it is a very frustrating share to hold because, besides the Trump hoopla, things are still progressing at a glacial pace.
You and I appear to be in agreement that the project doesn't need a steady-as-she-goes management team but needs to be led by a Twiggy Forest-type character who can generate publicity and hence investor interest.
I rode the gravy train in FMG's formative years when Twiggy transformed a small medical supply company into a major iron ore enterprise. He soaked up so-called uneconomic iron ore deposits discarded by BHP and RIO and pre-sold their projected output to the Chinese at a discount using their money to build the very expensive infrastructure i.e. rail links, ports etc
ETM certainly has the product, but what it needs is a visionary who can pre-sell the project's projected output to a market player like the Chinese, who can help fund its development. But first, he needs to engage proactively with a recalcitrant government and seek an acceptable resolution on Uranium.
To an outsider, it doesn't look all that hard. Perhaps they could look at the economics of not processing the ore on site but shipping it to another nearby purpose-built location in Greenland away from 'precious' Narsaq. I'm sure most of the inhabitants of Narsaq would move to a new mining town location anyway to take up well-paid jobs and leave the remaining eco-warriors with a ghost town to enjoy.
If the Prime Minister or Mining Minister won't take calls then they need to be embarrassed into a meeting e.g. approach the Greenlandic press directly with a catalogue of your rejected calls where you have tried to talk to them about the unsubstantiated mis-truths they are spreading. The press needs constant copy to publish, and will take calls and will no doubt question them about not doing their job.
Press releases are sterile and tend to be quoted verbatim before being quickly forgotten, whereas an actual conversation with a journalist gives them an emotional investment in a story which they will keep following up.
