This was brought up before but worth saying again. Uranium is not the problem. With younger generations leaving and social negative impacts of alcohol and suicide, uranium is Greenland's least problem. The people are going to poison their fisheries with daily human waste being trucked down to the beach. There won't be tourists coming for Eco-tours. All the hand made jewelry will have to be exported overseas for sale. Good luck competing with China on that one.

The people of Greenland are going to pollute themselves out of existence. But if Kvanefjeld were allowed to operate as permitted then there would be money to fix the Arctic's dirty secret from a National level. There would be money to change the way the human pollution impact would have on the Arctic's environment. I do not know how long the environment can last under the current strain but Kvanefjeld has the financial impact to change the current course. The damage being done to the environment by the day to day activity of life in Greenland will have its toll to pay. Kvanefjeld has the ability to have the Greenlandic people to get up off their knees and stand up straight and move their country forward. The continual annual pollution damage will only further the demise of society in Greenland. It doesn't take long when you bury your head in the snow, hiding from what you see, before you start to feel the pain.
