Seeing as the appeallant (Greens minister Alison Xamon) of fraccing in WA cited the negativity in the USA over fraccing as she does on her website. It seems that angle has been blown away by the regulators the Federal EPA disagreeing with her.

As I said facts and science, not fiction and fear mongering. Also money talks louder than minority group noise and picket signs.

Also Poland now approving it, see links below.

NWE will get the greenlight as well IMO.

"...during his 24 January State of the Union address, U.S. President Barack Obama wholeheartedly embraced hydraulic fracturing without even mentioning it, telling his audience, "We have a supply of natural gas that can last America nearly 100 years. And my administration will take every possible action to safely develop this energy."

Tree-hugging environmentalists and seismologists be damned - according to Obama, the full exploitation of these resources will "support more than 600,000 jobs by the end of the decade," no small consideration in an election year."

    and...

"Most recently, anti-fracking groups have denounced the process for the alleged risk it poses to groundwater from fracking fluid contamination.

However, it seems as though their best and biggest potential ally — the Federal Government's own environmental watchdog, the EPA — has turned its back on the picket signs...

At a New Jersey energy conference last week, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson stated that she saw: “only an upside to hydraulic fracturing," and that the process was: “perfectly capable of being clean.”

This came less than a month after Obama's State of the Union address for 2012 made clear the president's intention to put the non-traditional recovery method to full use — not just for the sake of long-term energy independence, but also for the more pressing issue of American industrial productivity and labor."
