    You can read about complete herds of cattle that perished because the whites could not find fresh water--some natives could have helped.


    You can read about the many thousands of cattle that died in the tropical heat and when droughts dried up waterholes on stations.


    Nowadays you can see in the news the losses in inland Qld because the people cattle stations don't have feed. A water pipeline could grow stockfeed like in the Qld, but people like you don't think its a good idea and its fine for cattle to die slowly of stavation.


    For every animal that died in the Aboriginal stations a 1000  died when when the Nth of the country was opened up for cattle grazing.


    Get a copy of the book in the link by Ernestine Hill called 'The Territory' and learn about the disasters up north when stations were opened up.


     Thousands of cattle washed away in floods, thousands lost when drovers couldn't find water, thousands died when droughts killed complete herds.
