Greens originally said no to open cast. (Its only 150 metres or so under the ground.)

Then a tunnell and ventilation shafts were the way to go.
The tunnell is over a km long..... to go 150 metres?

Was told over the weekend that Pike River wanted around 20 yes 20 ventilation shafts, guess who said no to that number.....

Guess how many they were allowed - One! yes just one.
