Good luck trying to 'educate her'!

I honestly believe people like her have their minds permantly blinded and with no fundamental basis in the resource and gas industries I honestly dont know how people like her can affect decisions regarding projects like this.

I mean with what I would say she and others would have a very limited knowledge in UCG or CSG or in traditional coal mining so how would she compare the different industries?

How would they know what process was more environmentaly safe than the other? Who is feeding them the information on these processes? They are obviously not consulting the actual companies involved in commercialising the processes.

Politicians today have no real backbone and are just pushed this way and that way and just conform to whatever will keep the majority 'happy' or what the ill-informed public decide will keep themselves happy without doing some 'real' research and standing up and be willing to commit to something that is actually better for the public even if they dont think it is right now.

Your right though someone needs to make these politicians understand what UCG is all about because clearly they currently have very little idea!
