our toddler a boy is drawn toward trucks, sticks, rocks.... it seems to be hard wired. His cousins both boys and girls have access to many toys yet seem to gravitate to "boys toys" and "girls toys".
Last year at Christmas we had a bubble machine in the garden. The girls were chasing the bubbles in their ballerina outfits the boys were digging up the garden.
