"Comment: Of course the Caribbean "Banks" need it to finance the Current Account deficit"". It's NOT just the Caribbean 'Banks" that finance the US Current Account , Stolwyk..... It's the entire World Economy.......For THEY (China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan European Countries etc) know, a collapse of the US$ will mean ultimately a collapse of the entire world economy...Let's not forget that the Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese and now Chinece economic miracles were ALL built on the back of the US$........ Is not as easy as some "economists" who foresee the imminent collapse of the US$-US Economy make it out to be..... The whole world economy is so intricately intertwined that a US$ collapse will mean a world economic collapse....INCLUDING Australia!!!!!! In fact other countries will suffer a lot more than than the USA.....
