All the indicators they mentioned seem to balance out, and the release reads as though they're undecided about what to do , and so will keep the status quo. I guess that's why the DOW had that sudden drop at 2.30pm. There was speculation in the last few days that Greenspan may try to give the economy a boost by dropping rates.
With no movement on rates, I guess the markets will continue to be volatile until some trend bocomes clear
