From Hm-df's (iii) post.
First of all I want say respect to the man for a detailed reply the my questions. He didn't have to reply at all and let the RNS' do the talking. Secondly I am going to leave this email unedited and put my thoughts on the next one

There was open hole testing equipment brought in in February to test the deeper sands that were to be drilled in the 8 1/2" casing.
The Jesomma sands (not the original target) are behind 12 1/4" pipe and require perforating equipment to test.
That equipment is probably about a month away (they require UN permits, etc as they are high on terrorism lists of things they like to shoot with).
I guess you could leave the rig at Shabeel-1 and wait for the testing equipment to arrive and then test, but that is not cost effective or efficient.
The idea is mobilise now to Shabeel North, drill and test that and then move the rig back to Shabeel-1 to test with the perforating equipment (which would have arrived by then).
They will be drilling the Jesomma sands with 8 1/2" casing at Shabeel North so they can test with open hole equipment.
Spud date 1st week of June (that's in the announcement). The announcement was fine. It just didn't contain any new news (ie no testable discoveries at deeper levels which obviously the market didn't like). What it does contain is a reiteration of the fact that we have DISCOVERED 12 – 20m of net pay! If that flows then we're looking at a significant commercial discovery.
Pretty simple I would have thought.
