Maybe Hiddink should have reprimanded the referring decisions when he was managing S. Korea and they managed to get to semis on some very woeful decisions (The constant cry then was the big clubs were being penalised). To moan only when the decisions don't go his way does not give him much credibility in my eyes. Again, is all swings and roundabouts. If teams are good enough they will create enough opportunities for the shocking decisions to become irrelevant.

Heard the same moaning when England won the ashes as they had some dodgy decisions go their way. However most agreed England deserved to win. Australia played against 10 men for 40 mins, and created a lot of pressure. The Italians soaked it up as to be honest out of all that pressure only came 1 real opportunity which Cahill wasted. In terms of real opportunities the Italians won hands down. Possession does not win the match in this game - most victorious teams do not have the majority of possesssion. Quite frankly, they don't need to.
