they have not annexed anything. The only country that ever annexed West Bank was Jordan
and btw the West Bank is not as simple as being illegally occupied no matter what the UN tells you. Had they finished the Oslo accords instead of a temporary deal which has never been rescinded we might have seen something different
of course the un prefers to consistently interfere on this particular conflict in a way they never have on any other
the most breathtaking resolution was that once they had endorsed the existence of a Jewish state along with an Arab state in 1947 they did nothing to stop the invasion in 1948 and then had the gall to pass a resolution on the right of return of those Arabs who had variously left because they figured they’d return after the Arabs had won, were chased away because they attacked Jews or simply decided they didn’t want to life in a Jewish state. Sure the resolution included a requirement that they return only if they wish to live in peace but that part has been conveniently forgotten by those yelling about Palestinian rights and ignored altogether by those who want to free Palestine which is code for eliminating Israel
I don’t think you can argue that the “land grab” either supports or doesn’t support Israel’s security. Quite frankly what Israel has or does not have by way of territory has never made a jot of difference to the desire to eliminate Israel. But you might note that Egypt and Jordan found a way to at least not fight with Israel and Israel has not attacked them. This detail is ignored
as to the view of the west. Sure but the west doesn’t experience the endless terrorist attacks or the determination to obliterate it simply because it exists
I wonder how you’d feel if that was part of your daily life. Further the west has been privileged enough not to experience war in the same way as other countries. So we seem to have developed a view that no one should be killed in a war. But more to the point we are highly selective about that. What about Ukraine and Russia. What about Yemen. What about cross border wars in Asia and Africa I don’t see quite the same commentary that suggests reputations are forever damaged. It’s partisan politics and quite frankly you are reflecting conditioning that has occurred. It’s no more rational than any alternative perspective.
. Nor is it any more moral because the consequences for Israel if they stopped fighting is obliteration. So sure stand on the sidelines and judge them and may you or your descendants ever experience an attack on their right to exist
