Jordan's annexation of the West bank and Egypt's annexation of Gaza were probably illegal at the time, and would certainly be viewed as illegal in a contemporary setting. The rationalisation of the time (I believe) would have been based around Pan Arab nationalism having primacy over nation states which were viewed as artificial constructs of post colonialism. In terms of people "griping" about the Jordanian annexation of the West Bank, the Palestinians certainly griped about it if the black September conflict of 1970 is any guide.

you assume my views as well so I guess it’s tit for tat. The thing about exchanges of posts is they inevitably involve reference to posts I can’t see how my post assumed anything about what you thought though it did reference what I believe you have implied in your posts. Otherwise you are being obscure because it’s hard to see much that isn’t anti Israel whatever you might think of the other
