Is There a Bigger Phony in the World ThanGreta Thunberg?
Does anyone remember Greta Thunberg? She burst uponthe scene in 2018 at the age of 15 when she challenged her family to reducetheir carbon footprint to help save the planet from climate change and thenbegan skipping school as a demonstration against climate change. (In myexperience, most 15-year-olds don’t need such elaborate excuses to skipschool). From there, she gained international fame as an activist. In 2019, shesailed the Atlantic Ocean on what was claimed to be a carbon-free yacht. (Iknow a lot about boat building. There’s no such thing as a carbon-free yachtwhen all inputs are taken into account). Upon arrival in New York, she wasfinally invited to address the 2019 United Nations Climate Action Summit whereshe scolded the attendees by shouting “How dare you!” from the podium as acriticism of their supposed indifference to action on climate change. In thefollowing years, Greta became an all-purpose activist who was trotted out forvarious causes, not limited to climate change. In the first instance, Greta isa phony because climate change is a fake crisis. There is no evidence ofextreme climate change underway. Tornado activity peaked in the 1940s. Hurricaneintensity peaked in the 1950s and 1960s. Blizzards have been declining inintensity. Wildfire activity is no greater than it has been for centuries.Climate change, which has existed in the past and may be underway now on asmall scale, is caused by solar cycles, volcanoes, ocean currents andsubduction, none of which is affected by CO2 emissions. Now, Greta is showingher true colors as an anti-Semite and supporter of terrorist groups such asHamas. She was recently arrested by the Israeli Defense Forces Navy as shetried to break a naval blockade of Gaza in an effort to provide support to the terrorists there. Greta was never the cute teenager she pretended to be. She began as a climate change phony and has now evolved into an anti-Semitic supporter of terrorism. She has no credibility and no ethics. The sooner she is truly forgotten the better.
