The issue is not whether he was slacking or not. It is whether the guys debt goes from being an asset to a liability. Should this happen there will be a wave of margin calls and fire sales bringing down exposed markets... If the exposed have assets in a class then that whole class will deflate unless people with money decide the class is worth saving. My money is on gold. I can be patient.
