Given dams are constructed of concrete and connected with large pipelines there is a huge CO2 footprint just with the infrastructure.
Then include the billions of tonnes of methane that is released due to rotting vegetation when dams and continues to be released over the life of the dam.
Then if you're still a Greenie think about the impact on downstream river ecosystems. I mean heck, Dr Bob Brown rose to prominence and formed the Australian Greens party by protesting the construction of a hydroelectric dam on the Franklin river in Tasmania.
Face it mate, you're not a Greenie, you're an industrialist who just wants to trash the environment because you're fixated on CO2 emissions, it seems no impact is great enough for you the realise renewables cause a lot of environmental harm. You're stuck in a very superficial understanding of environmentalism.
