Some posters on this forum and the Murdoch Media have made an artform of denigrating all things Kevin Rudd and yet he still won his seat at the 2013 Election - unlike John Howard who was unceremoniously shown the door.

Rudd beat Bill Glasson despite the massive campaign mounted against him in Griffith.

Now Terry Butler has overcome the backlash against Rudd for succumbing to the pressure of the Murdoch Empire to create blue sky for Bill Shorten. She has also overcome the massive cult following that Rudd had.

If Bill Glasson is really as great as your post suggests it can only have been the growing stench of the worst first term government in our history that enabled Butler to win this bye-election.
