Amigos,while we wait for the news about the diamond drilling at Lewis Ponds, it is worth reviewing some of the recent news. GRL has mentioned the McPhillamys deposit in recent announcements: "Lewis Ponds is located on a splay of the Godolphin Fault, the samecrustal geological structure hosting Regis’ 2Moz McPhillamys gold project,approximately 20km south along the same structure." Regis has stated that the Dept is in the final stages of considering the McPhillamys project for approval to mine. McPhillamys is a gold only project with an average grade of about 1 g per ton (JORC of 2 million oz gold). In comparison, Lewis Ponds has a JORC of 400,000 oz gold at an average grade of 2 g gold per ton (plus 80g/tsilver, 2.7% zinc, 1.6% lead & 0.2% copper). Note that: "The Lewis Ponds MRE utilises more than 63,300 metres of drilling completed by previous explorers", and if we place a modest price of $100 per m on that data, the drilling data is worth over $6 million. (And that is just part of the incredibly dowry that GRL inherited in its IPO.) Since then, GRL's discovery of the gold & silver in the Quarry Lode plus the diamond drilling could increase that resource according to the CEO: "These excellent initial RC results testing gold-in-soil anomalies, some of which areoutside the MRE at Lewis Ponds, provide significant confidence in proving up additionalresources at Lewis Ponds and we will undertake follow up drilling as soon aspracticable”. GRL's has said it is "Now examining the potential for a higher grade underground minefocussing on gold/silver rich lodes". All in all, I get the feeling that GRL is a specky that will shock the market in terms of how quickly it moves from IPO to mining.
