Amigos, the closing trade of GRL shares tells a significant story (see Commsec's screenshot below). A sell-off after 4pm of shares from 9.8c to 9.2c, with a trade of just $56, shows how manipulation is driving GRL's shareprice at the moment. My interpretation has been that a placement is around the corner and, in the current environment, it will give the Pros a windfall (but cause heartbreak for longterm shareholders). What are the Pros after? IMO the images of Yeoval North's drill cores plus the statement about the geological interpretation, may have been missd by many but not the Pros. And today's action is another example of "greed is good". The Pros are not content with the usual 15% discount on a fair average price, they will screw the shareprice as low as possible. When she announced the scale of money required for the purchase of the Rare Earth Project at Narraburra, the board should have announced a capital raise to cover the cost. At the time the biscuit tin was getting close to the "worry point", so by delaying a cap raise it played into the hands of the Pros. The recent bear market has only accentuated the problem. The management of GRL has let us down badly. The only salvation for the Directors would be for them to announce a cap raise in which shareholders will get the offer of buying new shares at these ridiculously low prices, rather than the Pros.
