Aliscrazy, it's a fair comment. But you have to remember that geologists generally believe that these types of systems come from a large magma chamber ( a porphyryr instrusion) where heat, pressure and boiling causes gold and other metals to be carried towards the surface and be deposited in cracks and weaknesses in the country rock. From what I have read in the GRL announcements, they have said they found "quartz-adularia", which from my understanding indicates the mineralisation of gold (and other metals) is a low sulfidation deposit. If that is the case, we can use the diagram below to illustrate the difference between low sulfidation and high sulfidation. In the diagram, you can see low sulfidation gold (Au) on the left hand side of the top diagram. It is deposited at a distance from the igneous intrusion, and this may be the case at Mt Aubery. Often low sulfidation deposits will be high grade gold (much higher than found by GRL - but it is early days). This is GRL's first drilling program and they just did a simple RC drill (which means that the rock comes out of the drilling as crushed pieces - not a solid core). It will give GRL some clues as what to do next. Importantly, they found the gold continues at depth below the old pits and they found supergene gold (enriched by acids dissolving away the pyrtie-iron, etc) . The supergene gold was in an area that is away from the pits. So to me it was a great first effort. There should be plenty of news to come, and we haven't even scratched the surface at the other prospects. Good luck amigo.
