As much as the media is calling the supermarkets as "BANNING" single use bags,

what a pile of rubbish, literally.

Still providing plastic bags to put tomatoes, loose spuds etc into.

So talk of savings of $170 mill. by not supplying 'free' bags,

and profits of $70 mill. in sales of 15 cent bags.

I'm sure the $170 mill. would have been factored into our grocery bills eons ago.

Then WE have to BUY rubbish bags, so more profit

    for the supermarkets.

But among all this bullcrap of 'helping the environment',

is the fact to get a bag that fits my small bin, I need a bag

with double the plastic of the old single use ones. (free ones).

Coles were still handing out 'free' 15 cent bags yesterday.

Bin liner bags, don't have the wide opening of the shopping bags,

and won't fit over the rim of the bin, unless you buy the next larger size.
