This sucks , rents are up , food prices up , petrol prices up , interest repayments up , inflation big time for the wage earner - does not affect me but I can see the effect with my children struggling with their household budgets seems to be a global issue .

There are solutions that could reduce the impact though , ie more encouragement for people to use smaller cars and car pool , improved public transport , build smaller better insulated homes , shift away from red meat diet , less consumerism in general , appliances with at least 5 year guarantees mandated .
