MZM used to own about 25% of RNI's now reserves etc, so it would be ironic that it jv'd in the gold.
Such a jv would be restricted to the gold no doubt and nothing else imo. That being so, it would not be easy as RNI has great potential for base metals too.
How would it work?
Who would own the hardware eg plant?
How would the infrastructure be shared?
It would be messy!
However, I'm pretty confident that RNI will not need a jv partner.
Maybe a better idea would be for MZM to come in as a cornerstone investor, but only after the funding has been made. It has a decent stake already - down then back up I hear. Plus oppies as Rabooth has stated. I reckon it would be a good investment, if RNI was willing of course.
