I didn't say to close down the companies. What I did say was to tax economic rent wherever it occurs, the rental value of land, natural resources, the financial sector, monopoly ownership over what belongs to everybody, and pay it out as a social dividend. Then the unnecessary jobs might be dropped. Essential jobs will attract higher wages.
