Performance at Bissa, Nordgold’s second mine in Burkina Faso, has exceeded our initial expectations. Ramp up took less time than expected which resulted in sizeable production of 40.4 koz for Q1 2013, despite operations only commencing on January 17, 2013. We constructed the mine in just 15 months within the initial budget of US$250 million. We believe that our initial production guidance of up to 100 koz for 2013 is likely to be exceeded.
