"Many of these people are the first ones to put their hands up asking for government assistance when things don't go their way. Despite their rhetoric, some of these people like to privatize their profits and socialize their losses, and strangely, they proclaim to believe in "free enterprise", but I suppose the emphasis is on "free".
misty, this statement of yours rather epitomises the ALP supporters. Surely you cannot seriously suggest that the stereotypical coalition supporter relies on handouts more so than the stereotypical Labor supporter, it is a total untruth, fabrication and dare I suggest, SPIN.
Now, lets address this major concern of "below average intelligence". You don't seem to realise that just below 50% of the population have "below average intelligence", hence the word average. Why this tends to cause you so much grief is beyond me.
As for "sheepish" (sheep like, not shy), when people follow the herd they are referred to as sheep. When people of "below average intelligence" base their vote on false TV advertising, it is indeed displaying a sheep like mentality.
Oh that's right, I just remembered why I tend to steer clear of the politics forum these days.
