Sucks up carbon: ie carbon sequestration, Creates oxygen, Filters the air, Reduces soil salinity, Stabilizes the water table, Great for the animals, Creates a moister atmosphere and therefore more rain. DOES NOT REQUIRE ONGOING B.S. CARBON TAXATION.
What in the hell is wrong with planting TREES?
Low tech: high end result. Very much cheaper than leading business and consumers down the garden path of political rhetoric to an economic hernia.
If the govt were fair dinkum then they would be pouring money into alternative power source generation and not just trying to position themselves on the world stage as "bold and courageous". Every time some half assed semi intelligent politician wants to score international points; I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!!
Think about it::: Trees are a really good solution>
P.S. Sorry about the rave but I am totally over it. I know a population gets the kind of government it deserves; however I don't think the good people of Australia deserve such punishment.
