acetone won't hurt your motor but don;t spill it on the paintwork.
I t gives a more complete combustion cycle so motor revs higher .
I use 300 mls per 50 lites fuel , each type of car has different ratio that works best ,so you have to fool around til you work out what your car etc likes best, plenty of research on web if you search
