20 years ago, watso recalls some property owner growing vegies on the kerbside - and a google (google earth, or maps) search shows the home owner is still doing the same thing
the latest google image, probably shows that the person is getting ready for the next crop
without knowing, but probably a south european making the most of the land which is available - including the land which belongs to the council.
frankly, we are all crazy - we waste water and money growing grass, when we could just as easily be growing veges.
the kerbside vegie plot is only a few km from the centre of perth.
just as an aside, but over the years, one or two councils have take offense at people who have grown vegetation on the kerbside, which hinders traffic. one thing for sure, is that the person growing vegies on land which does not belong to him, is ripping off the system - well, good for him - and may he grow heaps of vegies.
does anybody else recognize the property - or more correctly, does anybody recognize the relevant council (or government) land?????
