I am a newbie to this forum ,. I cannot possibly know whether the Vietnamese could do what you are questionning.
BUT if your Australian Govt. can do it and possibly kill the golden goose or seriously damage the Mining world in Australia, then anything can happen , dont you think.?
I would be reluctant to invest any more funds in Aust. mining outfits until your Govt. clarified whether this supertax on miners is a'one-off' and if they might even withdraw it ??

External investors in Aust. miners dont like this action by the Govt.at all. It smacks of a starter for nationalisations.
